On the 20th of May, the Aroeira I Golf Course hosted the already traditional Ladies' Annual Tournament of the National Senior Golf Association (NSGA). The competition, which took place with consecutive tee-offs from 1st and 10th holes, was attended by 49 players, including ANSG associates and guests.
On an excellent day for golfing, and on a course in great condition, the results followed. In Gross, the winner was Marta Lampreia with 31 points, and in Net, Célia Mitschler (40) won, with the same points as the second placed, Elvira Gama. Among the guests, Sonja Adler, with 19 points, won Gross. Special prizes were given to Arminda Von Kaenel (Closest) and Marta Lampreia (Longest drive).
“NSGA is for all golfers. For those who favor friendly get-togethers and internal competitions, but also for those who feel attracted by more demanding challenges,” explains the delegation.
It is in this sense that NSGA intends to be that meeting point, having a calendar full of tournaments (more than 90 throughout the national territory), which this year is enhanced by three international competitions: the Tournament Portugal – Germany (in September); the Iberian Cup in Madrid (October); and the Portugal – Sweden Tournament (November).
Montebelo Golf, in Viseu, will now have a FootGolf course, a sport that is growing internationally, with the “kick-off” at the end of October, the date on which the new sport becames available on the course of Visabeira Turismo.
The PGA of America, Ryder Cup Europe and the PGA Tour jointly announced early july that both the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup have been rescheduled and will now be played one year later than originally planned.
