ART & GOLF, BY CG ARQUITECTOS

12 January 2022

For the first time in the history of Clube de Golf dos Arquitectos, an art exhibition was set up for the members and for the members. The CGA innovation happened in parallel with the Closing Tournament, and it came naturally.

The fact that there is a great deal of interaction between club members results in the knowledge of each one's activities beyond golf, which unites all members and makes the club special.
Thus, and after verifying the existence of several members with artistic abilities, the club organized the first edition of a collective exhibition of plastic arts. This artistic event had seven participants, Cecília Leite Castro, Filipa Horta Correia, Leonor Janeiro, Margarida Gomes, Mª João Ribeiro Telles, Mª João Pais and Rita de Vasconcellos, who presented a considerable collection of ceramic painting works
A “Vernissage” was organized and those present reacted with enthusiasm as they had the opportunity to learn about new facets of fellow golfers and to assess the diversity of artistic expressions on display.
After the success achieved, CGA will develop this exhibition concept next year, hoping to attract more participants and promote other forms of art.
