CGA 7.º OM – MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC CUP

The 7th and last Tournament of the Order of Merit 2021 of the Clube de Golf dos Arquitectos, took place on the Quinta da Ria golf course. The event, which brought together more than 80 players, also counted for the Mitsubishi Electric Cup, closing an intense sporting season full of activities that, despite the pandemic circumstances, was fully carried out.

There was also a tournament that was not provided for in the calendar, played in the Azores. For the year, the CGA promises an even more appealing calendar and with diversified sports, as the sanitary conditions allow.
Returning to the tournaments played at Quinta da Ria, which closed the 2021 sports calendar, they were a success. Not only for the quality of the courses played, but also for the hotel unit where most participants (players and companions) of the event, stayed.
The last day ended with a dinner followed by a show at Espaço Anfiteatro provided by the wonderful staff of Robinson Quinta da Ria, who brought together partners, sponsors and friends of the CGA.
At the end, the prizes of Tournament No. 7 of the Order of Merit and of the Mitsubishi Cup were handed out, counting for this the aggregate results of the tournaments on the 5th and 7th.
Thus, in relation to OM 7, the winners were: Domingos Santos Silva (Gross), José Luís Veloso (CGA Net, 1st category), Norberto Mendes (CGA Net, 2nd category) and João Alfredo Branco (CGA Net , 3rd category). Among the guests, the best was Arturo del Diego Suarez.
The same Arturo del Diego Suarez won, with 51 points, the Gross classification of the Mitsubishi Electric Cup, with João Carvalho (48 points) in second. In Net, the winner of the Mitsubishi Electric Cup was José Luís Veloso (65 points), followed by João Alfredo Branco (64) and by Arturo del Diego Rodrigues (63). Among the Ladies, victory for Leonor Janeiro (62 points), with Filipa Horta Correia (60) in second and Teresa Pires (60) in third.
