The Salgados GC (Albufeira) opened the usual gastronomic tournaments season, coinciding with the summer holidays, with the Sardine Tournament. This year with limited registration to safeguard distances in the lunch room, due to restrictions with Covid-19.
In the event were 67 players from 31 clubs in the North, Center, Lisbon, Alentejo and Algarve. The good weather and the good maintenance conditions of the course “helped” the good results.
In Net, Doctor Fátima Pita won with 43 points, followed by Luís Filipe Fragoso 41, Telmo Campos, Maria José Pinto and Pedro Rodrigues, all with 38.
In Gross Miguel Heliodoro won with 34 points, Pedro Rodrigues was second also with 34, followed by Ricardo Pereira and Luís Filipe Fragoso, 32.
