South Circuit 2020: Final Tournament

The Southern Delegation held its Closing Tournament of the 2020 season on the Pinheiros Altos (Pinheiros / Sobreiros) nines,. Due to the constraints imposed by the pandemic in recent months, the prizes from previous tournaments on the South Circuit were handed out at the end of this closing event, while following the health safety guidelines scrupulously.

In the event were 61 players, and the highlight was the Portuguese Arminda Von Kaenel, who won the Women's event prominently and in the tiebreaker, in Gross, two Algarve associates who are usual champions won.
Manuel Cândido de Oliveira won in Net with 38 points, followed by António Villa de Freitas 37 and Michel Fichaux 36. In Gross Arminda Von Kaenel won, followed by Amândio Pacheco and Carlos Poucochinho, all with 25 points. The Ladies event was won by Arminda Von Kaenel with 35 points, followed by Elvira Gama 32 and Maria José Pinto 30. In the Master Seniors Michel Ficux triumphed with 36 points, followed by José Ferro Cavaco and Luís Gama, both with 35. The Guest event was won by Roberto Pinato with 37 points.
The OM Champions of the Southern Delegation in 2020 were Carlos Poucochinho (Gross), Eduardo Godinho (1st Net), Manuel Cândido de Oliveira (2nd Net), Manuela Gomes Raposo (Ladies) and MIchael Ensor (Master Seniors). The 2020 Southern Circuit of the ANSG had the support of Macau Tourism, Cerveza San Miguel and Cooperativa Agrícola de Beja / Brinches (with the olive oil Flor do Alentejo).
