The golf course at Herdade do Pinheirinho, near Melides (on the Alentejo cost), designed by Jorge Santana da Silva, is already considered one of the best courses in Portugal, although without an official opening and lacking some support services.

It was built a few years ago as part of a large tourism/real estate project, close to the beaches, then hosted many tournaments from various clubs, at the time also without support services (clubhouse, buggies, trolleys, etc.), then closed for a few years, changed ownership and has now reopened, having recovered 18 of the 27 holes.
And it is thriving in this reopening, with successive tournaments for clubs and companies and when it officially opens it will be the first new course in Portugal, after a few years. Another new course is expected to open shortly, near Loulé (Algarve), already playable, but awaiting the completion of the hotel.
Herdade do Pinheirinho hosted the 1st Vertentability Investments & Properties Tournament, with 65 invited players, on an excellent autumn day and good results. The praise for the course was high.
The champion Gross was José Carlos Marques with 37 points, followed by Stephane Castro Ferreira 34 and David Moura 31. Pedro Batista won in Net with 42 points, followed by Daniel Barbosa also 42 and João Santos 39. The special awards went to Stephane Ferreira and Graça Carter (longest drive), José Guerra and Graça Carter (closest to the hole). The awards
